The conservation of our environment without environmental education is not possible. So, young and old, man and wife of all our cultures and social background must understand the importance of nature and so become motivated to protect her.
If not, more and more wildlife will be captured, badly treated or killed.
We think that the environmental education must constitute a sensitive effort of approach between human beings and nature to understand the impact of its destruction in our daily lives. So, for example, when the function of vultures is to eat death animals and that way clean the eco-system and avoid contamination, what will happen if people keep on exterminating condors? Who will eliminate these remains instead?
Therefore, it is essential that our visitors are getting involved with this conservation effort to protect nature. To achieve this we plan different activities: free-flying demonstrations of raptors, talks, conferences, contests, and stimulating of scientific research. We also intent to create an interpretation centre, which explains the connection between Andean ecosystems, environmental problems and society.
Parque Cóndor tries to preserve the typical Andean landscape by using, if possible, traditional materials in the construction of its installations and by replanting the area with Andean vegetation.
Soon: interpretation centre, conferences room, children's farm, nursery for Andean plants.
